I purchased an online edition of the July 2011 issue of Bead Trends so that I could go ahead and take a sneak peak. Both of the pieces that they chose look lovely in print. The Bellini earrings are simple, yet stunning earrings composed of scapolite and sunstone. The Heaven and Earth bracelet is a showstopper composed of scapolite, larimar, andalusite, sky blue topaz, and a HUGE whisky quartz round bead. It's so thrilling to see my work in print! I could squeal in delight, and dance around the house all day. Here's a peek- be sure and pick up a copy for yourself at bookstores and craft stores. You can also order online at North Ridge Publishing's site.
Today started with a splitting headache that wouldn't quit. My solution? Off to bed for a mid-afternoon nap. Oh, and a Harry Potter movie marathon was on, which diverted my attention away from actual work. I did manage to get in a couple photos that will be edited tomorrow, and I'm finishing up a new bracelet design using larimar, andalusite, scapolite, and whisky quartz. It's really delightful with the shades of cream and brown contrasting with the pale blue of the larimar. Should be done tomorrow, I think. Until then the jellybean colored sapphire necklace above should make for nice eye candy.
A little bit about me. I'm an Army brat that's finally somewhat settled after a childhood spent....everywhere. We just moved to Upstate South Carolina, and I've got to say, I love it here!
