Updated my Etsy Luxe shop with some "light" new creations. The Mermaid's Mischief earrings and bracelet are probably my favorite. I love the shifting of the blues and greens in the Boro glass beads, and the use of London blue topaz can never go unrecognized. The glass beads that I used were handmade by Valentin and Patricia Hernandez, and are unbelievably beautiful. I handmade the earwires for the earrings and the clasp for the bracelet myself using my tumbler to finish them to a high shine. More work to be added early next week.
Thought I'd gather as many links in one place as possible- for my sanity and yours. The UsTrendy shop is still under construction, but I went ahead and put the badge up for future reference.
In my previous post I was quite optimistic about getting my knit and print shops open in the near future. It's December 1, and I'm still trying to catch up on the three Etsy shops I already have open! There just aren't enough hours in the day to get everything accomplished, so my to-do list is ever expanding.
I do have to say that the house is starting to look a lot like Christmas as I slowly put up all of the decorations. The tree is up, the stairway is wound with garland and lights, and the front porch is decorated with the cutest round "gumdrop" lights. I'm getting around to finding our stockings and the ornaments for the tree, as well as the icicle lights for outside.
In gem shop news, lots of sterling silver Pandora style beads have been listed- with more to come. New luxe pearls- Akoya, Tahitian, and South Sea- listed. I'm debating on a couple South Sea pearls that I want to keep for myself. Lots of new focal beads to come in the next day or two- plenty of red, London blue, and pink topaz.
I finally managed to get a couple pages of listings in the luxe shop. I have so many more listings to put up, but the last set of photos were a complete loss. Dark, out of focus, and just plain horrible. The items up do seem to be liked as they've made their way into a dozen Etsy treasuries this past week. Toying with the idea of a live shopping page here- we'll see how that goes.
The main site is pretty spare right now. I've got plenty to fill it with, but the photographing, editing, and listing time are killing me. I think I'll concentrate on tackling it on Friday.
I hope that you're having a wonderful week, and that Thanksgiving was a delightful day with family and friends. My goal for December is to post EVERY day. Hopefully I can find something worth sharing every day- wish me luck!
Kit Lane makes the cutest little oddjects. Looking at them makes me smile. I happened upon her shop quite by accident, and messaged her immediately to let her know that I loved one of her peascapes. I couldn't quite justify purchasing a peascape, but COULD justify purchasing prints of her happy little creations. Being extremely wonderful, she sent an extra print with the order. Her attached business card was made by MOO, and an entire side was a picture of her creations. I felt compelled to take it with me everywhere. So, naturally, I convo'd her again. Completely unfazed by my strange request to send out more business cards, she messaged me back and said she would send them out the next morning. Imagine my surprise and elation to find in the mail today an amazing assortment of Kit's business cards AND a print of one of her little guys. Definitely check out her shop, as I am so over the moon about not only her creations, but also her loveliness.
A little bit about me. I'm an Army brat that's finally somewhat settled after a childhood spent....everywhere. We just moved to Upstate South Carolina, and I've got to say, I love it here!
