Oodles of new pearls listed in the gem shop. Best deal? Grab some Akoya baroque pearls. Akoya are saltwater cultured pearls known for their roundness- think classic strand of pearls- and baroque shapes are a bargain. Akoya baroque pearls are pretty interesting, too, in that they are rounds with little "tails". Here's a look at few of the new goodies.
White Baroque Akoya pearls 6-6.5mm available in full strands, half strands, and sets of 12. A full strand is $45.
AAA Akoya round pearls with rose overtone 5-5.5mm. I haven't gotten around to listing these yet, but they will be sold by the pair.
Gorgeous bead nucleated freshwater baroque pearls in shimmery natural shades of pink and lavender measuring between 7mm and 9mm. (Most freshwater pearls are tissue nucleated.) Sold in sets of 10 for $17.
Splendid white keshi freshwater pearls. Keshi pearls are all nacre, little accidental pearls as a byproduct of the culturing process. Satiny smooth surface with excellent luster, they measure 8-9mm and are sold as half strands for $18.
Shades of all natural pink colored keshi freshwater pearls, drilled longways measuring 6.5-7.5mm on average. Sold as a set of 12 for $12.
Gorgeous, romantic strand of shimmering, small, lavender-purple-pink off round and potato shaped pearls. These pearls have so much going for them: amazing luster, smooth nacre, unique natural color, and exceptional price. AA+ quality. Average pearl size is approximately 5.5-6.5 mm. Sold as a half strand for $16.
A little bit about me. I'm an Army brat that's finally somewhat settled after a childhood spent....everywhere. We just moved to Upstate South Carolina, and I've got to say, I love it here!
